It just needs to be viewed out of context from TOS. Then it's much more enjoyable. c: I feel like they had a lot of fanfare, with characters just &quot;there&quot; to appease trekkies. It just wasn't in the spirit of the original... And imho it just fits better into a tv show than into a movie.
