Looking back, I remember my first exposure to gen 4 MLP was the first episode of Heroes of Cosplay in August of 2013. I saw Scruffy Rebel in pony ears with wings, and a rainbow wig. As with the other costumes I was unfamiliar with, I looked up to see what character she was, recognizing easily that she was probably a humanized MLP. That's when I learned about Rainbow Dash for the first time. I also found quite a few pics of the other cosplayers from the show together all in MLP:FIM cosplay in a previous convention.
