Cross Game actually has some really strong character writing, and currently I'm digging Ping Pong a fair bit. I wasn't head over heels for the anime but I really liked the artist's style for the Gunslinger Girl manga. And Yotsuba&amp;! is dumb fun if I want solid comedy.
