They're kinda divisive in that the massive amounts of praise they've gotten have given them this sort of cult status that as of late has become somewhat memetic, though there's no denying the staying power of the music itself. I think they're great, but your mileage will vary depending on your enjoyment of really rough heart-on-sleeve folk music.
