I underestimated the production capabilities of the Acutians, or overestimated the Thoraxians ability to defend themselves. Now there are only 158 Million of them left ( started at like 8 Billion ) ... Sadly I am not sure if I should even bother to save them. As in I could pay off the Acutians to not attack the Thoraxians for 3 years, but that would cost me about as much as building 5 gigantic space stations... choices choices choices...
