And even in spite of such problems in the US, violent crime was at a peak in...the early 1990's. The violent crime rate actually continued to drop after the ban on &quot;assault weapons&quot; expired in 2004. Other factors are at play here, and the various anti-gun politicians do not have a solution. They are simply applying Donald Trump's flawed logic to a different target.
