They tend to have addictives in the food to keep the cats hooked in that particular product. Not sure what brands are available over there, but I generally feed mine 9lives brand food, and they have no issue switching to other brands whenever the shop doesn't have that brand. I've also fed them proplan brand food for a while back when I had one, or recently the really expensive urinary protection product that Fuzy didn't get to eat due to his sudden death; but these tend to be quite expensive. Still, having only one cat (and one cat alone doesn't eat much) I suppose it would be reasonable to go for the expensive brand. Test it for a bit and then try another brand of similar quality and see if she has issues switching. If she eats the other brand without issues, it's safe from addictives.</html>
