I wait a few years after a console was released and buy its predecessor. It's the sweet spot for having a console in good condition, getting a few games bundled in, a low price, and a lot of people trying to get rid of their machine for a new one. I miss the hype and the excitement of new releases but I rather have other people having their good/bad experiences with games first and I pick them up later.
