<html>By playerbase I mean the amount of gamers that owned either a capable PC or a capable console. To the best of my recollection there were about 50 million more 'capable machines' between 2002 and 2005, even if only 25% of those machines made their way into the hands of gamers and only a quarter of those were 'new gamers' then as far as Todd Howard was concerned Ken Rolston failed with a mere 1.61 million sales increase where Todd had expected 3 million more copies sold.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Note that I do not even know how much more capable machines were sold between 2005 and 2006, the year in which Oblivion launched.</html>
