I just kept thinking I'd hold a given key to keep running (like, left), then tap up or down to change slightly, but keep holding left to move on the now-not-purely-left vector. I think it may be because I had just come from FPS, where you &quot;turn&quot; and &quot;run&quot; instead of moving in any given direction.
