I was gifted a digital one but it turned out to be a hassle as the batteries drained way too quickly. Having an analogue dial isn't in any way better or worse in practice. I have to look at two places for number before the comma and after but it's an acceptable trade-off for not having to rely on stupid batteries. I also use another without a dial (cheap 15€) but it's hard to guesstimate the digits after the comma.
