I got myself a basic miter saw, however it is too powerful for its own sake, especially for my electrical box. I can only operate on the circuit where I have my washing machine. It has a 15A breaker, where the other circuits have only 10A. In theory I can use it there as well, but the startup power draw spikes too much for the breaker. I could buy a soft starter but it costs as much as the miter saw itself. At that point I could buy a better miter saw with a soft starter built in.
