I received my ESP8266 with a ready-to-go IR sender and receiver module. Somehow the IR emitters are borked as they are constantly on. Either I did something wrong soldering the pins or the module itself is kaputt. I have no nerves to desolder them today. I already was annoyed by finding an IR receiver library that automatically works with my TV remote so I can read the codes. At least I got the UI up and running.
