I don't really do much popping as I stay with other family members, so in addition to not wanting to bother them, I don't want to leave myself in a awkward spot and draw attention to myself as well. That said, I find the idea of watching others have fun popping significantly more interesting than doing it myself. But in indulging that, I bring a lot of my own obtuse internalized symbolism into it too, so I generally keep those feelings to myself, or just leave it to the realm of fiction.
