Alrighty. There was a scene where they were trying to determine who was a Thing by checking for fillings - it can't mimic non-organic materials. I thought, &quot;Damn, I'd be screwed, I've never had a filling!&quot; Then I thought, &quot;Wait, I have earrings!&quot; And later on, a character's earring became a plot point. Moral of the story - NEVER FIGHT SHAPESHIFTING ALIENS IN ANTARCTICA EVER! That earring only protects you from humans clever enough to think that deeply; Things will still eat you dead. :p
