It seems that anywhere above the Leeds area is a whole bunch of nothingness for many miles. Sheffield is always an option providing there is a lot of interest from the !<span class="vcard"><a href="http://rainbowdash.net/group/301/id" class="url" title="Ponies in &quot;The Midlands&quot;... and beyond! (midlandsbronies)"><span class="fn nickname">midlands</span></a></span>, and York has been suggested to me before. I'm currently trying to find any function rooms with internet and a projector in York, but having little success (most likely because I'm not putting much effort into my search). Any locations / venue suggestions would be nice if you have ever thought about this before, too!
