!calgary So guys.. about Derpy day. The people from olympic park got back to me and said I'd have to fill out some sort of form and have a permit from alberta health and such. No possible way I'd get that done in 3 days. I was also talking to a guy that said he would ask his boss and we could wander around in front of one of the coffee shops on stephen ave. Which sounds more ideal. But they haven't gotten back to me yet. Honestly im beginning to panic and feel frusterated I can't find us any sort of location to do this in a legal fashion. We may just have to go walk stephen ave and potentially get in trouble, which I really don't want to do. But I'm not sure what else or where else we can spread cheer.

While I wholeheartedly agree that the new scene just isn't as special as the original, and the edited lines make me want to shoot myself, I'm siding with Hasbro here. For once, they proved that THEY control the show. Not us. Maybe it'll show some bronies that they need to calm down and just love the show, instead of whining every time something happens that doesn't meet their extremely high expectations, or isn't how THEY wanted the character interpreted.

@scribus you misunderstand me, violence is the answer to everything =/= violence in the ONLY anwer to everything, I believe that when this whole Derpy mess started if someone went to the haters, smacked them on the face, told them to man up and stop all this kiwiin' things wouldn't have gotten this bucked up, there are other ways to solve it yes, and it can still be solved, but it will waste a lot more time, and it will be a lot harder

So apparently they've changed Derpy's voice and edited some lines for "The Last Roundup". And you know what? Thank God. Maybe now the fandom will stop acting like they're the ones with all the power.

@ikasamabrony Excellent! I like the idea of a upper arm band or bandanna. Something that could go over top of clothing. Pony shirt wearing is great too, the one thing with that though is it could be cold so we might be in jackets. Also and I have no pony shirts T_T !calgarybronies

@vanillabelle !calgary Well I'm hoping to get permission to do this inside Chinook station, but if not perhaps Olympic plaza.. If I don't get permission to do this at either of those locations by the time tuesday or wednesday roll around then I'll have to find somewhere free we can go.

@ikasamabrony @ovation @phoenixswift @darcyblue !calgarybronies Just an idea but perhaps we could try to coordinate some sort of outfit or identifier to present the image of us being a group/organization. It might also make us seem a little more credible and not "iffy". I'm not too sure what it could be, maybe in honor of Derpy it would be cool if we could find mailmare hats!

@vanillabelle !calgary I actually had a passing thought of something like that but it was just ribbons with "calgary bronies" or "derpy" written on them and tied around our upper arms.

!calgary Hey guys. I think we should do something for this Derpy Day, EQD is talking about. It seems like a good idea to generally spread cheer. We could go to one of the ctrain stations during rush hour (4-5ish) and hand out free muffins and sing songs and be pretty much awesome. The date for it is March1st (next thursday) so if anyone is interested on going out there and doing this please let me know! @ikasamabrony @ovation @phoenixswift !Calgary I like this idea also. however I think the transit cops would be opposed to the idea of loitering there trainstations and giving away suspicious baked goods while breaking out into song. I think we need some licence to do that kind of thing in a ctrain station.
