@eyepie I'm usually pretty consistent with mine but I like to change it up every now and then

@scribus "I guess I'll just check social media real quick, see what everyone's doing"
*2 hours pass*
"HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE" -
@eyepie From what I've read he had brain cancer.
-
@tiffany I just read this. Such a shame, I had a great time with both those films. He was only 49 too.
-
@scribus In my case it's because the primal part of psyche sees leaving the warm, comforting embrace of my bed as the least beneficial action I could possibly take.
-
@takePotato Knishesakenji Late reply, I really enjoyed it too! It had a really grand sense of scale while still retaining a really intimate sense of character dynamics, especially given the strength of its core relationship. Oh, and that soundtrack is just fantastic.
-
@colfax I pretty actively use Crunchyroll, actually. It's really just a matter of getting around to actually watching lots of series and films from the 80s.
-
@scribus I've seen a decent amount of 90s anime, but I really need to check out more 80s classics.
-
@bobo I would but currently I'm playing Smash friendlies with my brother and a friend right now on the 3DS
-
I haven't listened to SOAD in a while but I remember their first album being my favourite of theirs.

@awl I SIT, IN MY DESOLATE ROOM, NO LIGHTS, NO MUSIC
-
@rarity Oh yeah, he's a great guy. I totally respect him as a person.
-
@rarity I tend to have varying opinions on Drake, but at his high points he's a pretty engaging performer, and also Toronto rep is always nice.
-
@rarity Ah, that's probably why I hadn't heard it until now, I haven't been really actively keeping up with his stuff.
-
@rarity I've heard some of Baauher's stuff before but this track is new to me, I'm digging it though.
-
I should at some point though, or at least the episodes Kunihiko Ikuhara was involved with

@colfax See, I like "magical girl" as a storytelling vehicle, but I've never really watched a whole ton of Sailor Moon.
-
@rarity Damn, this goes hard. Glad to see grime's popularity has been experiencing somewhat of a revival lately.

@clayinthecarpet If you're looking for something more along the lines of the Monogatari series you should check out Katanagatari, which is an unrelated series by the same writer that features many of his distinct compositional elements (most notably lengthy, character driven conversations that are equal parts playful and insightful) but is also much more focused and contained than his other work (for better or worse). It's twelve episodes in length, though each episode is 50 minutes in length (so it's roughly the length of your average two cour show).

I also picked up some manga earlier today http://i.imgur.com/60eskt0.jpg
-
@yodelerty I can't believe this
-
@yodelerty how dare you
-
@clayinthecarpet I don't think it reaches the dramatic heights of either of those shows, but Concrete Revolutio (in spite having its own priorities) is pretty wild. That's arguably both one of its greatest strengths and setbacks, actually, it has so much to say but often times works for the space to articulate it. Thankfully its generally strong character writing elevates its drama to a point where it's still pretty much always engaging to watch in some capacity.
-
@clayinthecarpet It isn't the first time I've posted about the show here too, either http://rainbowdash.net/notice/4061972

@eyepie ROTATE YOUR OWL FOR SCIENCE
-
@clayinthecarpet Usually, yeah. My written voice is generally just a more organized articulation of my spoken voice.
-
@yodelerty It's an old video I enjoy more than I probably should
-
@clayinthecarpet It's Kikko Hoshino from Concrete Revolutio. Check it out, it's a neat little show from last fall that despite some structural blemishes here and there was an incredibly confident and energetic experience.
