@bobo So you feel... determined?
-
@clayinthecarpet I forgot how cathartic long bus rides are. I should make more excuses to visit my brother in the future.
-
@clayinthecarpet It was really refreshing. Lots of open space to gaze at and some contemplative music in my headphones to listen to.
-
@azureblaze I dunno about this. I don't think it takes the cultural dissonance of communicative culture into consideration, or how things like art and media construct their own senses of language as well.
-
@clayinthecarpet I had a nice relaxing bus ride home from my brother's house this afternoon. That's good, I think.
-
@northernnarwhal *at that point

-
@scribus On the pedestrian side of things, I do dislike really eager drivers who make what would be otherwise legal right turns at red lights while pedestrians are crossing, because that that point they have the right of way and should be put in danger on the road.
-
@tiffany The best feeling when eating garlic bread
-
@tiffany Dang, just looking at that makes me hungry
-
@scribus This is why I ride my bicycle on the sidewalk, and use a bell (and sometimes my voice) to let people know if I'm coming.
-
@ceruleanspark This is also possible and likely. Basically any situation where stopping isn't a viable option without dire consequence.
-
@tiffany Silence, human.
-
@spots I think one of the admonitions of the dilemma is that it's a scenario where the car itself can't stop.
-
-
@scribus The irony of this was that roads were originally VERY pedestrian accessible, and it was only after a series of accidents and bad press that the car industry advertised the road as a cars-only space that our modern road system and various laws really started coming to fruition. Though I agree with you, there needs to be a greater divide between fleshbag and heavy metal transportation machine.
-
@tiffany The catch is that there's no "right" answer, it's meant to play on the views of the person answering (in the case of the train theory, it's framing the consequences of action theory against utilitarianism)
-
@tiffany Damn, that's one of those big moral questions like the train one that they ask when introducing people to ethics for the first time.
-
@spots In fairness your sisters are still really young so they probably don't have many priorities as far as entertainment is concerned
-
@tiffany Go for that record
-
@spots I've never heard of it, and after a quick Google it doesn't look like the kind of thing I'd enjoy
-
@eyepie It's scary to think about the fact that this is possible. It's like something out of a technology fearing sci-fi story.
-
@spots What are they watching?
-
@eyepie I'm alright. I recently woke up and made myself lunch, and now I'm just checking various social media before I head on the bus back home later.
-
@tiffany You've entered the ban zone
-
My brother's on the other side of the room playing Undertale and seeing him openly laugh and smile while playing the game is really heartwarming

@eyepie It's fitting of Luigi's character

@eyepie Me right now http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/832371

@eyepie That's understandable, and definitely something that must be overcome when creating and using an account on any publicly available forum. We tend to bounce through a wide variety of topics here though, so I'm sure at some point you'll find something you can latch onto and feel comfortable contributing to!
