  1. @maiyannah It's the reason I'm absolutely insensitive most of the time. Emotional extortion is the current fad so I went to the other extreme. My father often gets upset because of it as I don't seem to care about extended family and the like.

  2. @flaxx Oh, yeah, maiya's account is on another instance. You won't see her on public unless you're subscribed, but you should be able to see all of it from context. I agree that CAD is really boring, but it's a decent enough job for making money and practice. You can show architectural models to a studio to apply for a scenario modelling position and work your way from there.

  3. ...which is actually a pretty hilarious thing about christian dogma on whatsapp

  4. @flaxx Well that's worth something. Having a team you can work with decently is half the way there.

  5. @flaxx If all else fails you can claim you got cancer while developing and that's why updates don't come out, and beg for more money.

  6. @maiyannah Huh. I didn't play it at release (when it was probably much worse stability wise) because I had a sempron 2800 with 256mb video back then, but when I did play it it didn't have that many crashes in comparison to the others, and it was probably my favourite as far as story and options go as it had a lot of mechanics I loved and the characters weren't as retarded as 3. My biggest issue with it is the whole thing with placing invisible walls to keep the player from climbing around the map.

  7. @maiyannah @flaxx This. Forgot about it, but it's actually a really good job. Architects, surveyors, and other related professionals tend to hire people to do all the CAD and modelling since it's the most time intensive part of the job and by extension the bottleneck in getting more jobs a month and thus more money.

  8. @maiyannah Funnily enough NV was the one that gave me less trouble of the modern ones. 3 and 4 were the ones to crash a lot in my case, 3 just because and 4 due to freezing while loading anywhere near central boston.

  9. @flaxx Bonus points if you fund it through kickstarter or patreon.

  10. @maiyannah Eh, I enjoy bethesda sandboxes once I manage to make them not crash constantly.

Monday, 12-Dec-16 20:36:44 UTC from web in context
  11. @flaxx Jokes aside you can always work on modelling for any other bussiness until you get the job you want, as in a curriculum experience is experience regardless of where you do the job.

  12. @flaxx Just remember the golden rule about early access: disappear and erase your traces once you've made enough money and never finish.

  13. Mod that I'd like for fallout: removing the scope shaking when aiming from power armor. It makes 0 sense that what's basically a robot piloted from the inside would shake when it's not given commands to move, robots don't have a pulse.

  14. @flaxx Well, everything is a door if you work on it. Practice, make a portfolio, and when you see some studio hiring just send them a link to your work. It's not uncommon to see small-to-medium size studios posting ads for hiring on social media, if you stick to the circles where that's relevant.

  18. @flaxx Doing fine. Got up just an hour ago and heating water for a mate cocido (it's like tea). Haven't heard anyone mention Maya in years, but I do remember it from early 2000s magazines talking about 3D rendering
