    @widget Yep, basically. The bottleneck seems to be that it's sending the notices to all timelines (even remote instances!) synchronously, which causes the POST request to hang till it's done. There is an improvement in that the server doesn't ignore ALL connections from you while doing this though. I attribute that to Nginx. xD
