@metaltao Unfortunately, now that I think about it, blaming the Jews for the depression was pretty much the only reason he was elected. Being in charge of just about everything in Germany around that time (including the government that was in power when the Germans surrendered to the allies in WWI), the Jews were easy scapegoats, and Hitler's assurance that he would punish them definitely won him some votes.
