@nicklecat A) It's probably not true, and B) If it was, you gotta think about it like this. Recently, Disney Interactive has made a huge investment in racing games, what with the release of Split/Second in 2011. So it would make sense to buy out an old franchise which hasn't seen a release in ten years to hype up gamers.
