I'm feeling really depressed right now, so here's a story to cheer myself up. I dunno, maybe you'll get a kick out of this too.
After my outburst earlier I decided to go out with some friends. The driver was 16 and there were two passengers, myself included. In Virginia, that's illegal. We realize that, since it's the fourth, there are gonna be a lot of police checkpoints pulling over drunks. On the bright side, that means less drunks. On the down side, that means more cops. So we make sure to drive extra careful and not give anyone any reason to pull us over.
No cops.
There was not a single cop on the way to the ice cream place. So we get there, we have some ice cream (I had a rather large sundae) and then we decide to find a nice hill to park on and watch the fireworks. We're driving, and we get to an intersection.
I look to my left, and right next to us in the other lane is a cop.
We pull out real nice and slow, and he drives off in the other direction.
And that was my night.
