@metalnarwhal That's a bit of a hard question. Stylistically metal in its earliest incarnations was categorized through its roots in blues and psychedelic whilst being considerably louder in sound and darker in tone than its contemporaries at the time, but really these days metal has branched out into so many distinct styles and sub-genres its difficult to properly define it without being incredibly general.
