  2. @cloudchaser I still think Merzbow's lyrics are most beautiful.

  3. @ceruleanspark I can't follow your sentence with such grammar, though I understand this is a dubious circle. I mean, I completely agree that people who don't like it shouldn't constantly go all "FU NSFW IS AWFUL" but people who like it shouldn't go "LOOK NSFW HOW NICE ENJOY IT YOU HAVE TO" either, which happens way too often in my experience.

  4. @scribble If only those liking NSFW would be nice enough to not shove it down the throat of people who hate it, I would accept this argument, but currently, I do not.

  5. @cajunbrony23 If you subscribe to me I can send you my contact info through a Direct Message. Please tell me which you would prefer (MSN/ICQ/GTalk) and I'll give you the info.

  6. RT @tavi @ceruleanspark It's obvious that this is a male dominated fandom.

  7. @cajunbrony23 If you want, you can add me on MSN, ICQ or Google Talk (if you have one of those). I can't run Steam well under Linux (yet) so I can't run you there, but I personally dislike "adult content" and perhaps it's nice to have someone to talk to who doesn't try to shove it down your throat (I know the feeling, really, it's awful when people do that...)

  8. *hugs @cajunbrony23* I know how annoying those NSFW discussions can be at times. 80% is a bit much, but sometimes it feels like way too much, I agree with you there.

  9. @scribble I never directly stated every part of Windows is bad, but the way I put it clearly sounded like I was implying it.

Monday, 16-Jul-12 19:23:01 UTC from web in context
  10. @redenchilada .doc is bad because we have official standards for saving documents, the OpenDocument standards, denoted by .odx (with x showing what kind of document we're dealing with). Even the latest version of Microsoft Office doesn't properly support these standards, being the only one in the most-used office suites not supporting these. Because Microsoft Office is the most used office suite, we're being forced to adapt to their standards (of which they don't share the specifications), so other office suites (which do support the official standards) cannot work as well as Microsoft Office does, which is, at very least, anti-competitive, but also prevents improved development of the Open Standards. Because of that, even in the year 2012, we still cannot properly share office documents throughout different operating systems and office suites.

  11. @redenchilada For example, .doc (or its worse brother, .docx). But fine, you and @ceruleanspark somewhat win. Not EVERY part of Windows is terrible, and I chose my words badly.

  12. @ceruleanspark "The problem is, Internet Explorer isn't even close to the only thing that is wrong."

Monday, 16-Jul-12 19:13:51 UTC from web in context
  13. @redenchilada "Deal with it" isn't an appropriate response. That's like stealing from a store and, instead of stopping to steal, telling the shop owner to just buy more goods so they still have enough left to sell.

Monday, 16-Jul-12 19:13:18 UTC from web in context
  14. @ceruleanspark The only way I can see your reply to be valid is if it relates to me calling Windows evil, and only naming Internet Explorer as an example. The problem is, Internet Explorer isn't even close to the only thing that is wrong.

Monday, 16-Jul-12 19:12:29 UTC from web in context
  15. @redenchilada Until Internet Explorer is no longer installed by default on Windows my argument remains valid, because Internet Explorer still has a large enough market share for this kind of nonsense to be an actual issue to web developers who want to create cool things.

Monday, 16-Jul-12 19:07:54 UTC from web in context
  16. @redenchilada Preferring a system due to the way it works (which is fine, everyone has their own taste in what kind of system layout is best) has nothing to do with how it purposely keeps development of cool things like HTML5 back by promoting proprietary, incompatible standards instead of accepting the already-specified official open standards. For example, Internet Explorer 9 STILL doesn't properly support Data URI (which was officially specified in 1998), something every other mayor browser, even SAFARI, supports.

  17. @killerkiwi117 As far as I know, Cave Story is free, Cave Story + costs money.

  18. @techdisk42 I agree, Cave Story has a beautiful soundtrack.

Monday, 16-Jul-12 18:53:20 UTC from web in context
  19. @redenchilada Because you haven't tried to seriously use it. The keeping back of web development is purely because Internet Explorer is pre-installed and has been quite incompatible with web standards ever since the first release. That is a fact and not related to you having problems with it or not. Windows is not only keeping web development back, but their proprietary standards and programming languages are keeping a lot of development back. Really, Windows is why we can't have nice things, and I can't wait until it falls into obscurity, it has been popular for way too long.

Monday, 16-Jul-12 18:49:30 UTC from web in context
  20. @redenchilada It's not. It's the worst system I have used in my life, it's the main cause HTML5 and other web development has been kept back (Internet Explorer), the APIs are terrible (I tried to write a tiling window manager once, only to find out that, for some retarded reason, the Start button is considered a "window" in Windows), it isn't truly compatible with other versions of itself. Genuine Advantage often labels legal copies as illegal (like mine) and, well, I can go on somewhat longer but I've raged for long enough for now, in my honest opinion.

  21. So, a friend is trying to get me to develop games in XNA. I'm not sure if I want to learn one of the most retarded non-cross-platform languages that exist to make a game for two platforms I hate: Microsoft Windows and the Xbox 360. I think I'll much rather continue development on my own game, which is cross-platform.

  22. @mushi Exactly, it looks like a failed attempt to show strength and power, in a way that just points out the lack thereof.

  23. @mushi Cool, I love comics (https://xkcd.com/262/). Being honest, I haven't seen a comic regarding it, it's just my personal opinion :P

  24. Dear Metal bands: Showing your middle finder on a band picture does not make you "cool". If anything, it makes you look childish and pathetic.

  27. @cajunbrony23 I personally am surprised, but that's because I, myself, seem to have almost nothing but bad experiences with Windows. I believe it hates me more than I hate it, really.

  28. @cajunbrony23 I generally expect the worst with Microsoft Operating Systems, but this time I was honestly surprised it would fail me like that after proving a negative comment regarding Windows (it boots up slowly) wrong for once. The restart, ironically enough, took longer than starting my system, though...

Monday, 16-Jul-12 15:18:48 UTC from web in context
  29. I started my Arch Linux desktop with GNOME3 and my owner started the Windows 7 Home Premium laptop. I told her "huh, seems Windows boots slightly faster". Less than 10 seconds later, it crashed with a BSoD. Wow, Windows, just wow. For once I'm positive about you and you do that?...
