  1. @techdisk42 Because 1. I didn't know it was online; 2. I'm with my owner now and 3. I'm working on my own game :P

  2. @crusader8 I broke my game completely. However, it looks like I fixed it again.

  4. You are in a room. The room contains a box of crayons, a box of crayons, and a box of crayons. It also contains a box of crayons. - Something is wrong with my style of using arrays in my game...

  6. @nerthos I used to love smartphones, than I actually found out how much less reliable they are than non-smartphones. Sure, they can do more, but you can't trust everything to work as it should in case of an emergency...

Wednesday, 11-Jul-12 16:34:04 UTC from web in context
  7. @nerthos You said "Linux phones are better" while Android is Linux-based. Because X can't be better than X, it sounded like a sarcastical comment to me.

Wednesday, 11-Jul-12 16:31:01 UTC from web in context
  8. @marsh Android uses the Linux kernel. Therefore, Android phones are Linux phones.

Wednesday, 11-Jul-12 16:28:26 UTC from web in context
  9. @nerthos Because Android sometimes likes to hide options really well doesn't mean that the Linux kernel is a piece of junk. I'm more interested in running Boot2Gecko, but seeing how that's not released yet, I'm stuck with Android.

  10. Wow, I must be in stupid mode, I can't find the "enable USB" option on my Android phone...

  11. @lyrica Last time I installed a 64-bit version of Windows I got stuck into an installation loop when I did that. It gave an "unknown error", rebooted, gave that same error again, etc, etc. I don't know, but I think Windows really, really hates me.

  13. @nerthos Are you absolutely sure about that? Most PC users I meet don't know what a "browser" is, even though they use it daily, and ask me for help because "a weird icon appeared on their desktop after installing something".

Wednesday, 11-Jul-12 16:21:09 UTC from web in context
  14. @lyrica The average PC user can't install Windows, no matter how easy that is (even though it's still more error-prone than an Ubuntu installation, from my experience, but that may have to do with where I get my copies from).

Wednesday, 11-Jul-12 16:18:57 UTC from web in context
  15. @lyrica Almost correct. "Put the OS installation disk in your PC" would be correct for everything, not just Windows users.

  18. @nixter Choosing hardware parts that make a good system together hardly make you a genuis, though it does make you smarter than the average PC user.

  19. @redenchilada You can't close that process. It's not even a real process, it's just a stupid way Windows Task Manager says how much memory is NOT being used right now.

  20. GNOME3, I completely underestimated you, you're pretty nice to use... At very least, your notification system is heavenly.

  25. @tavi By participating you are no longer lurking, therefore, you are not being a lurker. This also makes the # tag completely inappropriate, as you are only posting it on the moments you are not lurking, and never on the moments you are (seeing how that is impossible).

  28. @mushi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNOME, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KDE_Plasma_Workspaces and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awesome_(window_manager). They're Desktop Environments (and the last one is a Window Manager) which pretty much takes care of how your system works, where your options are, what you can change, etc. Pretty much everything you, as a user, see.

  29. @mushi I kinda meant important ones I haven't tried yet :P

  30. Ugh, I can't choose a desktop environment/window manager. I've tried GNOME3, GNOME2, KDE and awesome. Are there any important ones I HAVE to try? !Linux
