  1. @scoot At least, I thought moot was the one who kept the site going and set the standards for posting.

  2. @scoot I thought that after posting, yeah. moot enables them, essentially.

  3. @pony maybe not "for sure"

  4. @metaltao They're organized, for sure. I like nothing that I've seen 4chan's anonymous (and moot) do.

  7. @thewaifutyphoon Facts are facts. Some may disagree regardless, and their tears are delicious.

  11. @redenchilada Yeah. I guess that's not too tricky after all then. Sounds good to me.

  12. @redenchilada I was thinking it would increase loading time, hopefully not by too much.

  14. @redenchilada that could be fixed? that'd be awesome! Sounds kind of tricky.

  15. @scribus Not entirely sure I understand, but I'd say the latter, but somebody doesn't have to be present for you to forgive them.

  16. @snowcone Sounds like a good method if you're used to it.

  17. @metaltao you'll click in the message area (i.e. cell) of the new message and drag up a little bit until you see a highlighted block, then you'll scroll up like so: http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/762813

Try figuring out which of my messages this dash replies to.

  20. @metaltao You replied to this dash: http://rainbowdash.net/notice/3445791

First step: make sure you have tree view enabled (second check box) in the Old School settings ...
    http://rainbowdash.net/settings/oldschool
Second step: highlight the nested table cells above the replying dash/post and follow the conversation up to where the highlighted section stops. The original post should be around there. It really is hard to do in big conversations, though, I admit.

Maybe something for @redenchilada to consider making more awesome, possibly with alternating dark/light cell backgrounds instead of gradually darkening cells that are hard to tell apart.

  21. @metaltao "(in context)" is a life-saver. If you click it you can even see the full conversation tree, but that takes you away from the main timeline.

  22. @metaltao Yep. That feel! You can float your mouse over the "(in context)" link below any dash in order to see the message that a user is responding to, btw.

  23. @metaltao Nah I get the weird thing. I mean, we're pretty black and white about morality which is an oddity nowadays.

  28. @nerthos Yes. He was called Satan after being cast out of heaven. He took with him a "third part of the host of heaven" as his angels which became demons, and they (and he) act to try and bring about the destruction of God's children (mankind).

Wednesday, 04-Jun-14 06:22:29 UTC from web in context
  29. @metaltao @nerthos In LDS dogma, Satan desired God's glory and to remove the agency of God's children (which he was one of). He wanted to force everyone to heaven essentially, except it wouldn't have been the same kind of heaven and we would never have the opportunity to become like God ourselves through the exercise of our own agency.
