  1. @rarity Yeah, I got mine cut back in December because it was becoming a hassle to maintain, but now I'm gonna let it grow out again. I really like the look and feel of long hair, but I also like the convenience and easy maintenance of short hair.

  2. @rarity My bangs used to be long enough that if they were hanging down they'd be at mouth level, though I'd always brush my hair to the side so it wouldn't get in my face. These days my hair is comparatively shorter, so my bangs are only around eyebrow level.

  3. @rarity Yeah definitely, Pantera were a very problematic band. I'm glad Robb's speaking up on it too, because rampant bigotry is a genuine problem in the metal community.

  9. @rarity Yeah that's pretty not good. I get the fascination too, believe me, I'm the same way with war criminals and dictators and stuff like that, but it'd be the same as, say, putting swastikas all over your blog. Bad people can be interesting people but I don't think they should be idolized.

  10. @rarity No but I 100% don't doubt their existence. Not even for a second.

  12. @rarity I wore the sunglasses just to annoy my friends but i took them off after i was told that the sunglasses + the coat make me look like somebody who was about to go shoot up a public place.

  19. @rarity Both come from that same "fear of the other" that fuels a lot of general bigotry too. It's really bad.

  21. @rarity I guess you're right. If George Bush put together a press conference about 9/11 and said "it was ME THE WHOLE TIME" all of a sudden 9/11 truthers would immediately believe the opposite.

  22. @rarity I wonder if he'd be more in the latter, if I'm assuming best interests I'd rather believe he's just naive as opposed to being a genuine proponent of regressed evangelism. I don't really know anything about him so it's hard to say. I've hardly even seen much of his beliefs outside of a few posts I found hilarious. You're right about their very obstinate interpretations of text too, essentially since heliocentricity was never exclusively written about in the Bible (for reasons you outlined regarding understanding of the time) they construe that as heliocentricity being as anti-Christian as they proclaim it to be.

  23. @rarity I don't think B.o.B is evangelical. If he were he wouldn't shut up about being evangelical.

  24. @northernnarwhal @rarity "(C)ontroversy and conspiracy for its own sake, tautological and not in any way meaningful." Very common.

  25. @rarity You see, the thing I don't get about flat earthers is what exactly it is they're really trying to prove. What reason would anyone actually have to conceal the fact that the Earth is flat, what would keeping that out of the public eye accomplish? And more so, even if we hypothetically were to assume it was true, what would that even change? It feels like controversy and conspiracy for its own sake, tautological and not in any way meaningful. Reminds me of the "Shakespeare wasn't real" crowd.
