Also, I AM GOING TO EXPLODE EPISODE BEGINS IN ONE. DAY. I HOPE MY BODY CAN. AAAAAAAAAA okay, too excited now. Let's stop moping over the impractical and make some arts!
-
Don't want to get up, yet. Had a tear or two. Realizing that I have options to make say an artificial Apple Bloom a reality, but the lifetime and effort involved would grind most of my other lifegoals into dust.
-
Dude, she humps statues and figures and dolls and her first name is Sunset. It's kinda obvious what her cutir mar-zzzzzzzzz...
-
@greydragon412 I've done a handful in the past.
-
Today, saw half of a movie titled "Waking Life". Think it's on Netflix as well. I imange the way I felt after that must be a feeling of "being high". That. Was a bizarre, interesting, and somewhat disturbing movie. Not recommended for the depressed, squimish, or weak of resolve.
-
@miloth Ahahahahaha, that'd pretty fun! Thanks for sharing!
-
And now to try some Peanut Butter and Apple Butter sandwiches. Which has nothing to do with those waking impulses I was speaking of.
-
@jinny Draw the CMC covered in taffy in a swimming pool of honey, wrestling with eachother while surrounded by bubbles made of sweet goo filled with cream? SURE, LET'S DO THAT or I guess I could pay someone else to do it that would take effort and time and I have entirely too much to do before these finals come to do it myself right ow.

@scoot Human Maplehoof riding pony Rose. Bam. http://ur1.ca/5o612

@redstreak Oh man, I LOVE BORNIES
-
@thelastgherkin That's a solid point. :o See? Laughter AND Logic. This is why you're awesome. X3 But yeah, I often make throwaway things and post it, then later, someone's like, "Hey, I really like X thing from the thing!" And then I'm like, "Really? Awesome!" And the ideas I have are usually at least kinda neat at the moment of conception.
-
@scribus Yeah, it's an adventure game thing. I had it sitting around on my PC for a while now. I'll go dig up a link in just a bit. Here we go. http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/10/cutie-mark-crusade-demo.html?m=1 It's really really cute.
-
Got the Cutie Mark Crusade demo going on Ubuntu Linux/GNU. Very cute. No time to play it right now, though. Wonder if my phone can run Python and PyGame
-
@zach I might check it out when I get back home. I'm about to get in the car and head to class in roughly 13 minutes.
-
@zach Not that I know of, nope.
-
@zach Yep~ And that's why I keep my site setup as a massive artdump thingy.
-
@thelastgherkin Can't say I know, but I'm growing fairly fond of this ████ for the time being.
-
@zach SO MUCH HUGGING! <3 *Supermegasquishyhugoffriendshipanddoom!*
-
TL;DR I like sharing things I make, but I don't really care much for the things I have made until a year after.
-
@retl However. As a medium for communication, creative skills are still valuable to me. As a way to spread smiles and friendly ideas, these abilities are still valuable to me. As a way to exchange for others something which they can do things for me, it is still valuable to me. As a way to get a conversation and have some goofy fun with friends, it is valuable to me. I can be paid to do this work. It is a valuable part of my skillset. I like the work others do for me a lot more than my work more often than I like my own work. This is why I tend to like art trades. However, because my own worldbuilding and similar tends to lose its appeal to me in the short term, it's usually hard for me to know what to ask of others when doing an art exchange.
-
I've thought about it, and done it, and thought about it some more, and changed my name three or four times, done it some more, and then thought about it again. My problem with considering myself an artist and more importantly enjoying my own work is that when I write and draw, shortly after (within the year), I usually know what I had in mind. I know what it means. I know all of the things I consider flaws. I can't see past that to enjoy it for what it is without a lot of time away from it. This is why no matter how much porn and similar I draw, I rarely ever revisit it for its intended use. It's the same reason why I have trouble starting fiction: If I wrote the fic, I wouldn't even read it. So making things for myself outside of handycrafts and programming turns out nearly-moot for me aside from skill building.

I don't understand what is happening in this picture, but there is a pretty pony in it. http://fav.me/d4fl9kj
