@leonkfox Well, move. I'm sorry, I don't know what else to say to you. I will reiterate that I don't think they look bad once you get the hair styled right, though before I shut up and BOUGHT one of them, I was similarly whiny about how they looked. But I'm going to drop this conversation now, because it's not going anywhere.

@leonkfox There's a couple bits that aren't quite perfect, and you're acting like they're trying to sell Fluttershy without wings or something. They're $5, they're more or less the right colors, and with about 15 minutes of work you can get the hair looking good. Stop being ridiculous.

@rotation There's no crown or neck thing on one of them; the talking one is just horrible on so many levels that I refuse to pay money for it; and she's pink, which is easily solved but still stupid and on top of those other things is enough reason not to spend money on it. Plus there is no Celestia toy that is in correct proportion to the brushables.

@thelastgherkin Cut up a drinking straw. Soak hair in water, wrap hair around bits of straw. Secure in place with those hair clip things, the name of which I cannot remember at the moment.

@leonkfox Yeah, those play sets are kind of lousy, and I would have nothing to do with anything besides the ponies themselves (and I guess the animals, too - I have those all lined up on top of my monitor). Just get the brushables. I'm not buying Celestia until I can get one that is either not pink or at least easily repaintable.

On the subject of cutie marks, here's a thing. Rainbow Dash's cutie mark goes in the same direction as her hind legs. That is, the left side has the lightning bolt pointing down and left, and jotting out to the right, and the right side goes in the opposite direction. Incidentally, the toys (at least the $5 brushables, as I haven't seen the fashion style ponies out of the boxes, and have never seen a blind bag in person) fail because not only is Rainbow Dash's cutie mark backwards, it's also only on one side. Moreover, *which* side isn't even consistent - it's whatever one is facing forward when packed in the box. Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Applejack have their cutie marks on the left; Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity have them on the right. #themoreyouknowaboutcutiemarks
