  1. # got that toe fixed and my whole foot is numb. Did this whole thing while it happened. AHhahahahahaa. Anyway I have to drive home and sleep. Have a nice day all.

  2. @winterbreeze # I understand. I'm a bit tried myself. Also I do tend to extend myself into things. I'm very idealist and will have objective and stick to seeing it happen. I tend to move and shake things. I will do my up most to make them guidelines and not rules. I still we campaign for clearly defined Canon (I understand things can change and thing evolve. I'm not going to be a stick in the mud about it. I enjoy open ends.), but that is more of discussion with mods and Admins. I thank you for listening and I found it fun we were sort of opposites on some things, yet we are trying for the same thing.

  3. @winterbreeze # Again we appear to have similar goals. I feel and think that we can trust people to understand the difference OOC and IC. The conversation can be just interesting even with prior knowledge. As to guidelines I will be happy to make a list of one's I would find reasonable. I don't expect to become fact, they are in the end suggestions. I wish to see the site free and open as it always is. I enjoy the site because of it's freedoms. As to what is defined as deep knowledge and common is certainly something up for debate.

  5. @winterbreeze # I have asked about IC stuff and sadly I was never informed much. Perhaps at times I was asking for too much, but we can be a bit selfish. As to character knowledge. We can make some things every day normal knowledge and there clear secret knowledge only a few know IC. People OOC need to understand so they aren't confused IC.

  6. @winterbreeze # From your stand point you see it that way and I can respect that. What you said holds value, however I disagree. I have gotten the PM's where people were stumbling on there words, where I could clearly tell they were upset at something someone said to them. Not that it's fair to say your bad guy. I'm saying we need a different approach. From my stand point I see it as not working. We could throw examples and evidence at each other, but that's investing in how we use to settle things. We should focus on the future. Regardless of how we see things. We both agree there should be guidelines. We can discuss and figure them out. Then once that's done and I say we should clearly define the canon or something like that. We can be on opposite sides. Were not enemies. We just have a different view point. We see the same things, interpret them differently.

  7. @frostbitepuck @winterbreeze # Me personally I liked to know about it and maybe RP doing something with the canon. I enjoy investing time into others ideas. I get upset when I don't have the whole picture. As to others reasons why they get upset I can't say for sure. I'm not them.

  8. @stormyhugeheart # I worded that one part weird. I meant I do that somethings and I have done it.

  9. @winterbreeze # Things do appear fine till someone can't hold back anymore and explodes. I have done many times because I didn't want to start something and cared about the person who was doing it. So I just let them do it. It may appear on the surface alright, but inside it's not so much the case. I'm sure you personally have no objections to anything going on, but you need to understand that there are others who may not have the same tolerances level as you. We as a community need to see that and take action.

  12. @winterbreeze # I get confused why Everfree is always in the discussion. I don't want the site to be like Everfree. I'm not saying make a system where you need to get approved. Anyway, moving on to the main topic. We all made canon and because we made canon that has changed the MLP universe as whole it is are duty to write it down and define it. I do really wish we could have it all explained IC, however till we know equally what is needed to be explained we can't do it for the new users joining. We need to be the knowledgeable generation. Many people get upset because something happens out of there control out of the blue and the assume something. Causing confusion and fights. If we had a stuff to look back on we could settle problems within maybe ten short posts.

  13. @stormyhugeheart # That's the first step I am wanting to take, I want a simple paragraph that states the basic canon story. Not in to a huge details, as @winterbreeze said it's not possible to list it all. If we give people a basic understanding of what is going on, then people can learn by doing and they can do so easily.

  14. @winterbreeze # I'd like to see canon be clearly defined for users to reference. If you haven't watched it happen it makes it a tad hard to understand. I believe guidelines are a grand idea, but also like to see rules. Rules that are enacted to settle or prevent problems. I think with clearly defined canon. All the: What you can do and what isn't possible would really help sort things out. We all tend to go off and do something, try to make it canon and then there are big misunderstandings. Sadly I can tell you guidelines might not be enough. I can say personally I do crazy stuff sometimes, as do other people. We all need to be held accountable for what we say and do.

  16. @winterbreeze # Character dying is more of plot discussion. You kinda agree to that sort of thing. I understood your example though. I can understand having a bad day as well, but I'd like to see a it regardless. Not saying it should be forced or required of course. That's just what I'd like to see. As to examples I'd say they were a few outright rejections here and there, but most of them are subtle. I'd be happy to dig around for straight up examples. It would take some time though. However, I'm more geared to dropping that in the past and moving to a brighter future.

  17. @winterbreeze # I agree with the cascading effect in many senses, but the second part however isn't totally true. A lot of people pick and chose what have happen or say happened. *Raises hoof* I know I have done it before. Even when I didn't mean to.

  20. @pinkiepie @winterbreeze # Well I'll be up front. I did speak with Mr.Dragon over a dozen or so PM's. I had took a stance of changing the canon of the site. However I thought about it for a while and have seen that there are ways to solve the site's problems without damaging current canon. My objective has always been: For everyone to have fun, everyone to RP with each other and everyone follow the same canon. I see now it's quite possible for that to happen. Now we have Admin that actually comes around to speak with us.
