    @dlcentaur though random, I liked the existence of the mirror pond or whatever it was. IMO it was the equivalent of introducing a new monster in the show. Speaking of which, it would be nice to see the hydra again.

    @dlcentaur @pony I guess it's just part of life, yeah. In daydreams I note that there tends to be a bit of everything of life, love, happiness, sadness... adventures in my mind always tend to be rather bleak (oh no, zambeez!) - I guess part of it for me is seeing how they react in those situations, how it would happen in their world and such

    @crusader8 @dlcentaur sounds about right. Psychologically I imagine sadfics etc. serve to help authors and readers alike to face real life fears or loss.

    @dlcentaur # I'm sorry. :( Why do people enjoy that kind of thing though? Is it something to do with fleshing out aspects of the world that the cartoon would never touch on (for obvious reasons)? Do we just like making characters suffer?
