@zeeraw kool, i just joined that. let us see this...
-
@zeeraw Di you want to combine them?
-
@zeeraw omg really... thats gonna outsmart my site by a mile.....
-
@zeeraw till then I really need to start advertising
-
@zeeraw Once my site is really popular ill start coding my own means of chat and everything
-
@zeeraw Ill still use rumble because I dont think the site handles codeing. Im sure that when I upgrade that the adds and **** will dissapear. As for my app, its my own chat system.
-
@zeeraw Share it where when you're done. I'd be interested in seeing what you can pull together. :p
-
@zeeraw oh, i have now idea what you just said xD
-
@zeeraw that is a normal night to me. you?
-
@zeeraw ohai!
-
@zeeraw True enough. :p Both ways work really. One just excludes people who like to turn off JavaScript cause they're security paranoia freaks.
-
@zeeraw Hmm. So it's a technique for reducing bandwidth? The reliance on Javascript for that seems like it's not really the best choice. xD
-
@zeeraw Although doing the views purely with Javascript seems a little far-fetched to me. Dynamic data? Sure. But even static stuff?
-
@zeeraw Neat. That's how StatusNet should work too but.. it doesn't. xD
-
@zeeraw Ruby eh? I've never touched that before, and lol node. What are you using to fetch text from the server? Comet? Ajax? Websockets? All three?! :p
-
@zeeraw I've been meaning to ask anyway. What's the backend like? What transports are you using, etc. xD
-
@zeeraw I've actually seen several people complain specifically about that on this site. :p
-
@zeeraw You can say that again. Dudes good with design, and knowing how stuff should work.
-
@zeeraw I got a similar traffic spike when one of my sites was mentioned on EQD too. I wonder what the average CTR is for EQD links.
-
@zeeraw Haha yeah, that must have been amazing. One day I'll run a site that people will like! One day! Till then, I'll just silently look up to folks like you and Knighty as my idols. :p
-
@zeeraw True. I love to code but sticking with a project through to the end has always been my bane.
-
@zeeraw You guys have an amazing dedication. :p
-
@zeeraw If only it were that easy. XD You'd have to run the entire OS in either an interpreter, or have everything open sour-- ohwait.
-
@zeeraw ooh nice
-
@zeeraw Well to be fair, theirs is probably the one with the most *active* users. We only get like 50 a day (I can give you exact numbers if you'd like, I have a bot recording a few statistics about the site. xD)
-
@zeeraw 22,000+
-
@zeeraw The site does that itself with OEmbed and some random provider we don't know cause we didn't make the software. :p
-
@zeeraw We're actually making due now with scripts designed by users that automagically refresh the site, but an actual realtime timeline implementation using Meteor is on its way, lol.
-
@zeeraw The rapture's happening in your gas tank? Oh man, what's it like in there?
