  23. @humanbean Hahaha, well, it's just nice to find someone who can talk theology and metaphysics in an intelligent way. We "cliqued" because neither of us is a idiot. It was a pleasure discussing this with you. Language and speech are wonderful tools, but there are things that can't be expressed by words. Even concepts normal to us need more than one language to be properly worded. As such, no translation of a text metaphyisic in nature will be completely correct.

  24. @humanbean :D Great talk! We should do it again sometime, I also respect you, too. Not just your opinions, but you as a person! <3

  25. @humanbean This goes back to why a good, omnipotent God cannot exist, there is evil in the world, and a good, omnipotent being would not allow to happen, but there is evil, therefore he does not exist.

  26. @humanbean I won't follow the bible because it was written by humans, not by god. We as humans can't understand God, but that doesn't mean we need to remain human forever. Consider me a pre-fall Lucifer. A being striving for knowledge and power. The very nature of human mind as a complex organical chemical/electronic device contradicts notions key to the bible, like free will.

  27. @humanbean Well, hey! I told my kid to not harm the other kid, was my intention to make that other kid safe! Same thing dude, you're just sticking a dude with infinite power yet doesn't choose the good option, thus making him a meanie.

Saturday, 22-Dec-12 05:15:47 UTC from web in context
  28. @humanbean So, say, if I warn my son not to hit a kid and he does it anyway, I should kill him? (I don't have a kid I'm just saying...)

  29. @humanbean Yet, he was perfectly aware of the natural predisposition of the human mind towards specific behavior patterns.

  30. @humanbean Yeah, pretty much. The concept of God cannot be grasped by humans. As such, things like good, evil and justice fall upon us, not on a higher power. As a paladin I know these things in deep. Interpretations of God are used to control mindless herds, whereas they should be used to seek and share knowledge. God is a symbol to be sought, a concept to be understood, even if it's outside our grasp; no, because it IS outside our grasp, we should strive to better ourselves to understand it.
