The Dance at Alder Cove
This is a bit of my journey, most of it is about getting back to our connection to the land and its' cycles. So you will see a lot of items of the old religions. A little bit pagan, you might say. :D A time when humankind was more in touch with the heartbeat of the land and environment. No dogma here. Most posts are things that I'm thinking about, or ideas that I want to remember. Sometimes I will post something on a subject and it might not be exactly correct, no worries, comment all you want, it is just a way to explore that subject. I do read your comments. You might notice most of my post originate on FB, I just needed a private place to explore and think. This blog is the result. Think your own thoughts; and decide. Nobodies beliefs, that cause no harm in the believing, is worth getting worked up about.

From Wikipedia: Icelandic magical staves (sigils) are symbols credited with magical effect preserved in various grimoires dating from the 17th century and later. According to the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft, the effects credited to most of the staves were very relevant to the average Icelanders of the time, who were mostly subsistence farmers and had to deal with harsh climatic conditions.
