Her mind was a mirror,
But it cracked.
She propelled herself forwards,
Now it’s smashed.
Shards litter the floor,
She tip-toes through quietly.
Her body is the frame,
And her eyes show her shame.
But she’s never letting you in.
I don’t know why she cares,
But I found her lying there.
She tried to fix her mind,
But the puzzle eluded her.
Tears stream down her cheeks,
As her mind empties.
Now she’s smashed it up again,
And her eyes show her frustration.
But she’s never letting you in.
I don’t know why I didn’t care,
But she reached for a shard.
Her life’s blood poured out,
And she loved the pain.
She had a one-track mind,
Her eyes were a void.
She wanted to suffer,
To not suffer.
The contradiction was lost.
She held my gaze,
Pleading to continue.
The abyss set before us,
Our eyes entwined in observation.
I was the mirror,
She was the frame.
She was the eluding illusion,
And in her eyes we are one,
Conflicting desires remained.-
