@nerthos comedy has a lot of ways to be comedy. a large part of that comedy is mocking the worst of ourselves to give it that little deduction in power. generally, mocking the pop-opinion helps reduce its influence as a whole. it doesnt glorify it or rely on it. i mean, i guess there are some comedians that rely on it.

@nerthos entertainment is entertainment. the fact that it's so popular reflects its audience more than the actual genre of television. so yes to the decay part. but its the audience that drives it.
