@tenmihara its so hard to get shinies... -_- i have like 4 boxes full of failed attemts at getting shiny eevees. even though i bred 2 shiny umbreons together. even switched one with a shiny ditto... and even then i t was nothin... and like 90% of them were all male. O.o

@brohoof94 Eevee has a 3:1 Male:Female Gender ratio. Also, outside of Generation II, Breeding shinies has little to no impact on the odds of procuring a shiny through breeding

@brohoof94 Alternate language Pokemon yes, 50% no. The regular odds of breeding a shiny are the same as catching, 1 in 8192. With the Masuda Method (breeding two pokemon from different language games), those odds are quadrupled to 1 in 2048, and in Gen V it was increased further to 1 in ~1300
