      1. @haganbmj I'd laugh if he actually went through with it.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:39:40 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
        1. @redenchilada He did the first time this happened. When he wanted an easter logo. He appointed a handful of mods then if I recall. It's a stupid way, and half of those people left anyways. Making a graphic != quality human being (which is all you really need for a mod anyways)

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:40:53 UTC from web
          1. @haganbmj Can't argue that. I just wanted the challenge to make something not terrible-looking in a short timeframe anyway.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:42:47 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
            1. @redenchilada Oh yeah, and that's enough really - haha ~ Check out the results for easter here: http://rainbowdash.net/easter2011 ~ Looking at it, I think the top 9 all got mod-ship at the time. Or something.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:44:03 UTC from web
              1. @haganbmj I had meant to make something for that. Then I didn't. I kind of wish I had, in hindsight.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:45:20 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                1. @redenchilada Mhm, I submitted an entry for the sake of it - I disagreed with the method of 'mod-appointing' at the time as well, but being as the site was fresh it was slightly better as it showed an interest in the site (sort of). ~ All the same, it appears @cabal will do what @cabal will do.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:47:19 UTC from web
      2. @haganbmj Very very very very much so this.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:47:36 UTC from web
      3. @haganbmj Hey if I get it you dont have to worry, as I have a lot of experience being an Admin/Mod of a very large doll forum.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:49:07 UTC from web
        1. @darklycute Oh yeah - there are certainly people I don't mind. I just don't see an image contest as the sole purpose of appointing a moderator to be valid.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:50:19 UTC from web
          1. ... I'm utterly tempted now to enter one of these contests, try in earnest to win, and then if I get the moderator status NUKE EVERY DASH EVERY MUHAHAHAHAAAAAA seriously though, that's one of the reasons why this is a really bad idea.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:54:22 UTC from web
    6. @cabal For a lot of people, getting something of theirs in such a position on the site is a great reward.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:48:12 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
    7. @cabal Why should there be an incentive aside from the winning image being displayed at the top of the site?

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:48:16 UTC from web
    8. @cabal And how many more members are there now when compared to that time?

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:50:42 UTC from web
    9. @cabal Well, I guess. So whose logo is going up?

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:51:21 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
    10. Wonders why people post 'status updates' that really have no room for conversational responses.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:53:09 UTC from web
      1. @haganbmj kinda like this one?

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:54:12 UTC from web
        1. @macpony55 Exactly like that one.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:42:05 UTC from web
      2. @haganbmj Making a conversation with every post is silly. Occasionally it's nice to see someone shout BALOGNA! I LOST MY PANTS!!! and disrupt the timeline for a good minute or two.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:54:53 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
        1. @redenchilada It is not nice however to see random thoughts "Which seat should I take?" and questions of that nature. Rhetorical Questions given the information the users of this website have.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:42:59 UTC from web
          1. @haganbmj True. Although if someone's seriously posting "Which seat should I take?", I doubt they're just posting a random though.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:43:54 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
            1. @redenchilada You get the idea ;) ~ I could browse through the last few pages and pull up some good examples, but it's not worth it.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:47:09 UTC from web
              1. @haganbmj Yeah, I get you. By the way, I like how the stars look when they paint the night sky tonight.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:48:12 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                1. @redenchilada *hasn't been outside in some time* I know there's a full moon though, I saw that earlier today.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:49:11 UTC from web
          2. @haganbmj Also, are you watching me? Like Ceiling Dash watches the little Dashes learn to fly? Hi, Ceiling Dash!

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:45:30 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
            1. @redenchilada I'm not sure what you mean by 'watching you'?

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:47:37 UTC from web
              1. @haganbmj Like that orientation stuff. Making sure I don't turn the place into a wasteland just because some nut thought I was trustworthy.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:49:09 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                1. @redenchilada Oh, of course not xD

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:52:55 UTC from web
                  1. @haganbmj You're showing too much trust. You need to be more skeptical of people.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:54:19 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                    1. @redenchilada I'm always somewhat skeptical of people - q.q

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:55:12 UTC from web
                      1. @haganbmj Good man. (Or woman. Whichever you are.)

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:55:45 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                        1. @redenchilada The former, haha

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:56:44 UTC from web
                          1. @haganbmj I figured, but assuming is bad. Last time I assumed someone on the Internet was male was about fifteen minutes ago, and that was kind of awkward on my end.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:58:08 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                            1. @redenchilada xD Aw that's harsh. It's always difficult to tell.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 03:59:17 UTC from web
                              1. @haganbmj The worst part is that I'm ALWAYS wrong. When I assume they're female, they turn out to be male. And one time when I assumed they were male, they were a lesbian transgender.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 04:00:37 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                1. @redenchilada Well.. who could predict that o.o ~ That'd confuse me so badly.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 04:02:21 UTC from web
      3. @haganbmj In my cases, usually for logging purposes.

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:54:59 UTC from web
    11. @cabal Hmmm if this was a few months ago I would have done it. But I am not too motivated for ponies anymore :\

Tuesday, 13-Sep-11 02:53:57 UTC from web
    12. @thatonepony And I'm going to start... with YOU!
