@pawnheart Yeah. That's what I've booked, and what I've told Cptscoot to book (Copied you in on the planning message). I can't do the birmingham part yet though because I can't physically acquire the tickets other than at the station.

@pawnheart They can't post 'em to me fast enough and there's no way I can drive to leicester to pick them up before then. Unless you've got a paypal and I can just wire you the money for me and CptScoot's tickets for you to pick up in advance?

@leonkfox My ticket to leicester is booked. I can't physically acquire tickets from leicester to birmingham because the postal service isn't fast enough and I don't live in leicester.

@leonkfox At worst I can just buy tickets at the station. It costs more, but it's still a thing you can do.

@ceruleanspark Well, if you really want to book your tickets in advance, you can select 'Collect from a Fasticket machine' at the check-out, select Leicester station (it will probably give that to you by default anyhoo). On the day, you put your payment card and the reference number it'll give you in the machine at Leicester station, and it'll print your tickets. It's what I usually do.

@pawnheart I've faffed around somewhat and I can actually do a fast ticket pickup from Harborough tonight for both sets of tickets. Problem solved.

@leonkfox Yeah, its just my circumstances were pretty much the same as #theGreatandPowerfulCeruleanSpark at the time of posting... so I bizarrely answered instead... (ahem)... anyhoo, I also needed to confirm that I wasn't just gonna tank it at the last minute on the group page,

@ceruleanspark Thats the thing... my only concern is that buying in a advance may tie you down to a specific time for the return journey... probably won't, if you select open return, but its just a thought...

@pawnheart I'm just getting off peak day returns, so as long as we travel before midnight, we're good. (Pretty sure the entire of saturday is regarded as off peak? It is on east midlands)

@pawnheart In all honesty I don't think anyone has ever actually looked at my tickets on a train in this country. I'm booking mine to pick up tonight, so I'll let you know what's printed on them.
