Ahh crap, I think I left my phone charger at my nan's x.x Gonna have to charge it via USB for a little bit. Bugger! !derp
-
@leonkfox sometimes, I forget my charger period !derp
-
@derpytails You mean so you have no charger at all? Damn, that must suck when that happens. ^^;
-
@leonkfox no, no, I have a charger, but I forget to bring it sometimes xD
-
@derpytails Yeah, that's what I meant, forgetting the charger and not having a USB port to charge it up with, I at least had a USB port on hand to charge it with, sure it was as slow as hell, but it beats not being able to charge it at all.
-
@leonkfox true, true, my charger is also USB powered
-
@derpytails I love having a common connector on my phone's charger, I actually use my old BlackBerry charger with this htc Desire Z XD (The phone was imported so the htc wall adapter for the USB cable didn't work here ,and the cable is far too short for my liking)
-
@leonkfox After years of proprietary cell phone connectors, before finally getting a phone with a regular USB plug, I definitely agree!
-
@astra For the first time, I've got surplus chargers. My blackberry, my old android and my Pre2 all use the same microUSB, so I can have chargers at home, at work, and in the car.
-
@ceruleanspark Makes you glad propietary chargers have almost died out, doesn't it? (Apple still use them ,but I can't think of any other big tech company that does)
-
@ceruleanspark I know exactly what you mean! So nice to have charging options just about everywhere now, instead of worrying about forgetting the charger at home and having to pay $20+ if you're on a trip to get a new one. Or snapping the tiny fragile little tip on Nokia chargers. Went through at least four or five that way with my last phone. :(

@astra Propietary headphone connectors were even worse, I never put music onto my phone because I never had a pair of compatible head phones on hand(plus they were dole as music players anyway, these weren't smart phones) it still took the mangoes with chargers. But now I use a BlackBerry Curve 8520 charger on an htc Desire Z and it works flawlessly)
-
@leonkfox Yes, some cell phones still have a thing for tiny 2.5mm connectors, and it's such a pain to find adapters so they will work with regular headphones. And I've tried Bluetooth headphones, but I think my body produces electrical interference or something, because the only way I'd get it to work without the sound popping on and off was to make sure both the phone and the side of the headphones with the antenna were on the same side of my body. And, even then, after an hour, it'd start doing it. Happened with two different headsets and phones that I tried. Anyway, my little HTC Hero is a nice little phone and music player, and uses regular headphones, and the same charger as the Blackberry I have to carry for work. Yay! :D
