  1. It's taken 5 iterations, but Apple has finally made the iPhone into a product I'd consider purchasing. Good job.

      1. @seanthesheep Siri, their natural-language voice-recogniser assistant thing is what's basically sold me on it. Being able to say "Siri, text Simon and call him a kiwi" and have my phone do it appeals to me on a fundamental level.

        1. @ceruleanspark I must admit, that got a laugh out of me. :p

    2. @ceruleanspark It does look pretty interesting, but I'm not one that uses phones much.

      1. @pinhooves I like to be connected to the interwebs at all times. It's the closest I can get to some kind of neural implant.

        1. @ceruleanspark My dad's phone has a plan where he can use satellite to connect. He also said it's expensive.

          1. @pinhooves Holy hay, what's his job? Those things are crazy expensive, as is satellite bandwidth.

            1. @ceruleanspark He works for a brakes company, and has worked there for many years. I believe he got this phone from a contract. He has the option to turn off satellite so he doesn't continue paying when he's not using it.

              1. @pinhooves I take it he spends a lot of time out in the middle of nowhere?

                1. @ceruleanspark Yes he does. In fact, he actually left for business yesterday and will be back in a few days.

                  1. @pinhooves Which leaves me to take care of my precious little dog. (who isn't really little) :3

                  2. @pinhooves The thing about living in england is that I have no excuse to own a satellite anything. They're so cool! "Don't mind me guys, I'm just routing my cellular connection through SPACE"

                    1. @ceruleanspark He doesn't get good reception inside his car. The roof blocks his connection.

                      1. @pinhooves It's the same with some cars and some GPS recievers. Heated windows tend to mess them up.

                        1. @ceruleanspark That would explain it.
