@rotation Never had the opportunity. Never actually tripped my ABS either, so...

@rotation How come? All the accidents I get involved in are as a result of me NOT stopping. I don't stamp the brakes when it's slippery because it doesn't help, and I maintain a sensible stopping distance most of the time.

@rotation I've driven in snow a few times, but I've not locked the brakes there. The only reason I even know what ABS feels like is from practising the emergency stop.

@jinny It doesn't even get snowy enough around here to warrant the deployment of snow tires or winter chains or anything like that.

@rotation I really enjoy pulling fake-drifts in it actually. Drive down to tesco and its enormous car park and do idiotic things with fast moving pieces of metal.

@rotation Yes hehe, there are far too many ponies here that cannot drive either. Drives me crazy. xD On top of them you have big coal trucks zipping around at 130KPH trying to make as much money as they can. It's like those drivers say, "Load it like a box car, drive it like a stock car." xD

@rotation That is what I do on the road at large. It gets really old really fast when you realise that 90% of the things a midlands-driver does in response to snow are completely self defeating.

@rotation Tailgate, mostly. Be consistantly heavy on the brakes over everything so you're near-continuously without traction. Go too slow when everything is fine, Go so slowly that hill climbing is essentially impossible.
