@eaglehooves Being a mod is hard in the same way that being a cop is hard. You have to do things that might well make you unpopular with your friends to uphold your duty. Cops burn out just as fast.

@drewdle Then next time do NOT go behind other moderators backs, as well as use one as a reference for something they did not do. I don't like being placed in to a message stating that I had a part in something which I did not. We stated that the final warnings had been given and myself and Colfax had the situation in our hooves about it. if it happened again, then judgement would be given for what the community asked for. But instead you went behind us, you did actions and then used me as a point of contact for it when I had nothing to do with it. It's going to take a very long time for me to trust you again, if ever. Enjoy your time at school, and have fun.

@ceruleanspark I know, it's just that on the surface it looks a lot nicer. Other places one glance can tell you it's going to get ugly, and to brace for the worst, but RDN not so much.

@ceruleanspark Indeed. Depending upon the team/squad you're on, there's an 18-24 month rotation, in order to try to prevent burn-out. Unfortunately, when you're in a position where you tend to have to deal with some of the worst of humanity on a day-to-day basis, even the best start to get affected by it. Perhaps something similar needs to be implemented here as well (though, obviously, on a shorter rotation schedule, since 18-24 months is an eternity online).

@astra Well, the entrance exams to become a mod are much less comprehensive than the ones for becoming a cop too. Not everyone has the personality to be an emotionless enforcer of justice all the time.
