Ok everypony. As Colfax said, a minimum of lets say, a week of being a member should be required to create a group. That would end the spam groups, while not being a problem to normal ones. Also, a wordfilter in links with the word "loan" should be useful too. Lets get this into popular so @cabal and @purpletinker consider the idea.

@nerthos That really won't do anything. most of the useless groups are made by bored members that have been here a while. Like me. I made, like, thirty redenchilada groups for no reason other than I was bored and I could.

@cabal It was about spam groups, trying to sell things, not joke groups. I'm ok with the joke ones.

@ceruleanspark sadly some users don't seem to understand that I am playing along with them when I delete a joke group that was created as a dare to the admins and mods to delete it. Don't be fooled by unsubtle trollery.

@nerthos well in that case you simply need to send an email about it to me and it will be taken care of.

@cabal It wasn't just that group that got erased though. A bunch of pointless groups got erased. That's not trolling, that's "maintaining the site".

@ceruleanspark well I do have the right to instruct mods and take upon myself to protect this site when it appears things are getting out of hand. The only person you have to thank is redenchilan or whatever to making his intention known to disrupt site administration. Feel free to recreate these groups. But avoid doing so in a way that attracts administrative attention. Its like sticking a marijuana sticker on your car while passing a patrol car. Guess who us getting pulled over?

@cabal Don't misread me, I'm very much pro nuking the groups, protecting the site, etc. We could do with more of that at times. I just found your particular comment on freedom of speech difficult to reconcile with that.

@redenchilada I think he's being sarcastic. It's obvious to anyone that you do weird things only for the joke, but never let the jokes reach a real problem status.
