@purpletinker Hey there. I'm not sure if you'll see this, but if you do, I was wondering what the process setting up the broNYCon was? I've been wondering about that, thinking about setting up some kind of southern con. If you see this, please, let me know.

@theonepony I get asked this a lot. The process: A lot of work. A lot of money. A lot more work. A lot more money. There's no secret sauce, just lots and lots of determination.
-
@purpletinker I get that, but what kind of work? I, unfortunately, have no idea what would need to be done. I just want a general idea of what you did.
-
@theonepony I couldn't write it in a tweet. It'd take a small book. I've done everything from mopping floors up to haggling with talent agents.
-
@purpletinker Well, I guess I'll just attempt to work it out myself. Thanks anyhow!
-
@purpletinker ooo, I love working with agents, especially the part where I get to dangle them out a window by their ankles.
-
@theonepony I can give you specific tips if you have specific questions. Just asking me 'how did you do it?' is way too general.
-
@colfax From my experience they don't appreciate that much. Turns out that doesn't make them want to sign you. Go figure.
-
@theonepony Then you're just not being persuasive enough, I rarely had a problem getting them to see my point of view.
-
@colfax Well, they agreed to the contract, but voided it as soon as I left! Dirty talent agents......
