@fluttershy321 Well, if you're just using it in the sense that you were hugging Zach, in relationship sense, yes. However, if someone is depressed, and you need to cheer them up, a hug can be suitable. I still do not recommend it.

@remembernovember it was about what they were doing in real life to entertain themselves, did you not see the they were bored? and I see hugs used as a greeting very often or just sporadically, they were used by Fluttershy321 and Zach before they were ever in a relationship

@remembernovember RP->roleplay->characters, (isn't that the whole point of RP, to work behind characters) the hug was not directed at the other's character but to the actual person, thus it is not RP, at least not by definition

@remembernovember yay, if it was more than once within a reasonable amount of time then yes, it might be worth saying something, but only once just doesn't seem worth the effort to me, especially since it's used a greeting so often

@macpony55 It just gets a tad bit annoying when someone hugs every single notice. If you look back (about the time I joined) the vgp group on RDN had the most notices, and then within a month, the hug group shot up by almost 5000 notices because people were abusing it.

@macpony55 Which is why you need to use a hug institutionally. However, if you have a history of abusing it, I find it better to warn before it happens to prevent it from actually occuring.

@communistprime Ha! That it is. Somewhere along the line, I picked up a bunch of (thankfully mostly clean) British slang and started using it regularly. And that one IS particularly fun to say, and nicely replaces a few more vulgar colorful metaphors. :)

@astra I love alternatives to standard curse words like that. Of course I just as often take two words, smash them together and then yell them, generally gets the point across, haha.

@remembernovember I think they've been warned well enough, bugging them about it won't help anything if they've already stopped abusing it

@fluttershy321 I don't know about ALWAYS ignoring him, as he does have his good moments, and he's not a complete jerk. But, given his history of instability, it's worth doing so situationally, when he starts having his overbearing and obnoxious moments. As for me being nice, that's open to debate, but I do try. Thanks. :)
