    1. @ceruleanspark Crunch, crunch, crunch. The sound of loosely packed snow underhoof. The blue showmare plodded resolutely through the swiftly falling snow. The last vestiges of her magic long since exhausted, her body lay fully exposed to the cold. Trixie had never been so cold before. She longed for the warmth of her lost carriage, or even her old cape. She shivered violently as a strong gust of wind forced snow straight into her face.

      1. @ceruleanspark She had been walking for days now, and had yet to see another soul. She hadn't eaten since fleeing Ponyville that night. Celestia's sun was nearly set by now, and what feeble warmth it had provided was giving way to Luna's chill embrace.

        1. @ceruleanspark Interminable hours passed for her like this, the cold seeming to chill her once agile mind, her near frozen body's protests occupying her every thought. Crunch.

          1. @ceruleanspark She had stopped. Why had she stopped? She couldn't remember. She tried to lift her forehoof. She raised it a few inches and faltered, falling on her side into the snow. Struggling to focus, she tried to pull her hooves under herself, get back upright, but after so long in the cold, so long without eating, her body just wouldn't obey.

            1. @ceruleanspark Craning her neck, she looked up at Luna's moon far above her, and at the slowly falling flakes of snow. Sudden tears blurred her vision, turning the stars distant into a field of fireworks. Giving thanks to Princess Luna for sharing such a beautiful sight with her, Trixie slumped down once more. "I...I'm sorry" she breathed, as darkness swept in from the corners of her vision.

              1. @ceruleanspark From her distant perch, and with great sorrow, Luna watched as far below, the travelling showmare known as Trixie, breathed her last. "I'm sorry too" she breathed, as a single star winked out.
