thinking about writing a fan fic~..maybe. it won't be an mlp fan fic though. any writing tips plz?

@miloth the fan char i plan on using for it is mildy recolorish, and i made him a sibling of a canon character, i know its pretty unoriginal, but i do my best to not make him over-powered or anything.

@icysweet As a fanfic writer of several years experience, here are a few tips: 1. Try to avoid self-insert characters. If done well, they can be likable, but if not, they can be disasterous, and instant sue-ish material. 2. Write as the character, not the narrator (not necesarily in 1st person, but from their point of view) 3. Be descriptive. With writing, if it's not described, it's not there. Feel free to go into detail as much as you want 4. Know the material you are basing it off, like the back of ur hoof. Know every character inside ot, know every location, etc.
